RMK/Vinell Engineers that were in Vietnam

Wow where to start. My wife is desperately searching for her father, who was in Vietnam. He was an engineer and worked for Vinell/RMK. His last name sounds like Snowball, could be Schnobel. Can anyone out there please help. Our home phone is (703) 938-2871. We live in Virginia and just had our first child. My wife would like to correspond via email or phone.
