I happened upon a monument near Saguache, Colorado, on Sargents Mesa dedicated to soldiers with many granite grave markers and one large monument in the middle. Does anyone know who erected the monument and what the background is? I have not contacted the Forest Service or the BLM to find out but thought I should pursue another route to finding out. Thanks for any information you can supply.
