From Lt. Col. Herman Baldwin USAF Retired, on Wed, 01 Oct 2003 01:32:10 GMT (in response to: Phan Rang Air Base)
It was early in 1965 and our C-123 mission varied from 55 gal barrels of fuel for the Huey Gun Ships (delivered to Vo Duc) to all kinds of building materials for the construction project at Phan Rang. We had an all day long schedule from Tan Son Nhut to Phan Rang and we were all happy to climb aboard the pick-up at days end and head for our small hotel located across from the Navy Dispensary in Saigon.
