Just happened on to the site and good to read many of the comments. was there sep of 67 to sep 68, worked at the liquid oxygen plant near the Aussie Barracks. We had nine mortars hit within about 100-200 ft., but I don't remember the date. also remember 17 mortars(?) landing just over the hill from our barracks(CES/POL) one night. they started near the barracks and walked up thru the NCO club parking lot and the "drive"-in theater. no injuries that I heard of in either . there were others on the ROC area that did a lot of damage, plus several other attacks. I filled a lot of oxygen bottles for them when they rebuilt into a "hill" .Also remember seeing one of our planes go down on takeoff, with pilot ejecting, he had to spend the night in hiding before being rescued the nest morning. Lots of memories many photos, no way at present to load photos to net. best wishes to all.... May God Bless you all.....Glynn Gattis
