I worked part time at the officer's club from February 1968 to May 1968 as a bartender. I replaced "Ski" (Trojanoski) from the MARS station who was a friend of mine and he told me about the job. It was fun serving drinks to the officers because you got to see them as regular people. Some of them tipped pretty good. One night I got to bartend in the messhall for the officers. They had lobster and rib eye stake, they did not finish all of it and the cook gave me about 20 lobsters and 10 steaks. I took the steaks and put them in my fridge for later in the week, but the lobsters I took them to our Supply Sq. bar and I was given free booze for the rest of the night for them. I made quite a bit of money in salary and tips for that period. I had a great time bartending.
