I was just a kid but remember a lot of things about Happy Valley. Assigned to 311th until Jan72 when things moved to Saigon and stayed up at PR with the 310th First Shirt to clean up barracks etc etc till I came home. Highlight of my time there was my first survival briefing when we moved to the old fighter shop. Some Colonel told me to "watch it Clayton" when I said listen up as i am going home on the "Freedom Bird" and you guys need to know this well. Man if I had only acted up a bit more as I would have loved to fly back with the Bookies Stateside hahaha. Felt good though to get compliments from the OIC and CO.
