Ammo

From David Knighton, on Sat, 11 Mar 2000 03:36:25 GMT (in response to: Phan Rang Air Base)

I was at Phan Rang from June 1969 to June 1970. I was a munitions specialist and drove bombs from the storage area to the holding area and then to the flight line. I worked nights from 1800 to 0600 six days a week. One week each month I was with the Air Police as an "Augie-Doggie" and sat out on the perimeter at night. Had some close calls and some funny times too. I really miss all the guys I served with but not the War. Met some great Austrailians and wish I would have kept in touch. Would love to hear from anyone who was there at that time.
