Sgt. Butch

Sgt. Butch, did indeed move to Phan Rang with the 309th ACS. I was a crew chief with the 309th from Sept 67 to Aug 68 and Butch was the first being on the bird for a mission and the first one off after a mission, unless the Bookies went to Tan Son Nhut, then he was just as likely to go AWOL for a day or two until one of the WETSU birds showed up again and he hitched a ride home. Anyway I used to crew WH 515, at that time it had Tiajuana Taxi painted on the nose. I also remeber the Happy Valley drive/walk in along with Bob Hope and Raquel Welch and Barbra Mcnair.
