309th Nov 67-68 I was a Flight Mech in the 309th. Butch really did'nt have or need someone to take care of him. Someone would always feed him when it was time. Usually K rations. Butch hated ham and lima beans K rations. During approach Butch would move to the front of the airplane to be near the chain box. Then the rest of the time he stayed in the back with the loadmaster. Seems he got hit one day while riding in the back. We got a new wing commander in 68. We were taxing out and the wing commander's car stopped the airplane and wanted to know why the dog was on the airplane. Loadmaaster just replied "That's Butch" and we started taxing.
