Sorry I don't have an email address here, but greetings from Fairbanks, Alaska. Yeah, dogs. I worked in Life Support for the 615th. The fighter jocks kept a dog in their hooch they called Ding-A-Ling. He had his picture in one of the military newspapers, and beneath was the heading, "Dog Lives a Charmed Life," then followed an interview that included Maj Don May, Ltc Knox Lake and Capt Ray Riedel. Here's the kicker. We enlisted folks had a dog, too, who lived an enlisted life, and was happy with it all-in-all, until one night a few Koreans, ROKs, left our little squadron bar, and one of them shot the sucker on his way out. Dead dog. Of course, we were shocked, but I don't recall anyone chasing after the ROKs to exact revenge.
