SOFTBALL

From Bob "Marti" Martinez, on Fri, 30 Aug 2002 02:43:32 GMT (in response to: can anybody help)

Hi Vicky. Are you kidding me? I have been looking for that softball since I left Phan Rang, Vietnam in 1969. I am in disbelief that someone has my ball. I played right field for the Supply Squadron, the champions of 1967-68. I am willing to send you a photo of most of the team the night of the championship to prove it. I guess your posted note is God's sent. I was in tears and my arms got goose bumps when I read the note. My name is Bob "Marti" Martinez. "Marti" is the nickname I used in Vietnam. My addres is 2108 Las Colinas Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90041, my home phone is (323)254-6413 after 7 P.m. California time, and my day time phone numbe is (213)974-9237 after nine o'clock (I guess I have bankers' hours :>)) What I want to know it's how you found it after all these years. Some of the members of the team that I remember are: Kenyon, Welsh, Tatum, Smitty, Johnson, Pena, Fraker, Pelphrey, Petersen, Wooten, and myself. The rest I can't remember their names right now. Thank you for being so kind. I will reimberse you for the postage. You don't know what this means to me. I told some of the people at work and my wife, and they were also in disbelief. Thank you again.
