THE SECRET WAR: US'S MISTAKE THEY MADE~!~!!

The Vietnam was is a very personal issue for me. What many Americans don't know is that our people(hmong, if you do not know what that is, i suggest going on yahoo and looking up "HMONG") fought to help the AMericans. Many of you may have never even heard of "THE SECRET WAR", but it happened. We fought, we gave up our homes, our lives, our families to help the American soldiers during the Vietnam War. The U.S government made a promise to help us to a better and safer place in return for our help and knowledge. (Since we lived in the high mountains and jungles of LAOS we knew the area the best) So, we agreed. When the Americans pulled out of the war, they left us stranded in a country that now hated us. This was going to be the genocide of the Hmong. Without our help, the casualties of American soldiers would have been higher. Even our percentages of casulaties were higher. We risked 100 of our men's lives to go and save 1 of the American soldiers. It took them 5-10 years to finally let the first flight of Hmong immigrants come to America. The worst that has come out of all of this, AS of TODAY and right now, there are still killings and mass murders going on in Laos. They are aiming at the Hmong civilians all BECAUSE we helped out the AMericans during the war and they view us as ENEMIES. America's eyes are blind because they have more than enough evidence to know and understand the truth, but they seem to not see. We are doing as much as we can, but with out a country we can call our own, we must rely on our friends, America to help us out. TO say that the Vietnam war was a stupid war and pointless.. you must not know anything for you have not heard of our perspective of the war. If they had not made that promise to us, it would not matter as much, but they did and to have the strongest country go against their own word, i don't know what is wrong with the world. Please have more knowledge and more sympathy before you start saying that the war is pointless and dumb, because you just haven't heard of everything that occured. Yes, there were many deaths and a lot of money put into it, but this isn't the only war that does that. You should understand by now that any war is going to cost money and lives, but that isn't our faults. If you're going to protest, don't just protest on one war--because all wars consist of the same things.
