Protest

my brother's death

From Rose Sebouhian, on Wed, 10 Mar 1999 21:07:34 GMT

My brother, Stephen Colopy was killed in Vietnam April 23, 1967. He was only 20 years old and all he ever wanted to be was a farmer in Ohio. He was drafted, sent to Vietman on Thanksgiving Day, 1966,. He was killed when the trac that he was driving hit a land mind. My husband and I were leading protest marches in 1996 until the end of the war. We were at Ohio State when the State Patrol rioted on the campus. Because of are anti-war peaceful protests, we were investigated, wired tapped, threatened. My brother and the 50,000 plus Americans and the millions of Vietnamese died senseless deaths IN VAIN because Johnson couldn't stand the thought of US being defeated by a small, rural country.
