Protest

Were her acts actually treason?

From Al Keseltzer, on Mon, 09 Apr 2001 16:59:52 GMT (in response to: What is Treason?)

So did Jane Fonda commit treason? Did she give away U.S. military secrets like let's say John Walker, his brother Arthur or Jerry Whitworth all U.S. Naval and Senior Chief Petty Officers, who are supposed to be this countries finest? No she didn't. All she did was visit the place (that this country was not at war with)and met some of the people.None of her radio broadcasts contained anything that could be considered treason! She sat in an anti-aircraft gun and looked through it's gun site, big deal! Charles Lindbergh sat in a chair next to Hermann Goering during WWII and told him everything he knew about U.S. Air Power. That's a hell of a lot more treasonous then what Jane Fonda ever did. Why wasn't Lindbergh slapped into the bracelets when he came back to this country? I served in the U.S. Armed forces (Navy) after Vietnam and listened to all these cry baby Vietnam vets bellyache about "Hanoi Jane" but yet those same hypocrites were standing in line with their wife and kids to see her in 9 to 5 and Agnes of God and Coming Home. Those same clowns cursed Muhammed Ali when he refused to go into the Army in 67 but in 96 when he lit the Olympic flame in Atlanta they watched with tears in their eyes and all said "Oh man he was the greatest, yeah champ we all love ya"
