It might be a good idea to watch a few films to get an idea of what it was like back during the laste 60's.

Born on the forth of July is an excellent film for this exact reason, and it is also a true story.

Another good film is "the Odd angry shot" this is an Australian film and might be a little bit harder to get hands onto, but if possible watch it, it should be helpful.
