What more would you have wanted? More deaths?

I don't understand after all the pain and misery Vietnam vets went through, what the hell did they want? No protests at home and thus even more boys killed and scarred for life? The politicians weren't looking after your best interests, big business wasn't looking after your best interests, and goddamn war-monger John Wayne (WWII draft evader by the way) wasn't looking after your best interests. Did you wnat everyone to march on down to Saigon with you? It would not have ended the war. We bombed the hell out of that country with napalm and all we had and it still didn't end the war. If we had stayed another 10 years, the damn thing wouldn't have ended. Boys who went to Canada made a difficult decision also. And I love them just as much for their moral convictions and courage.
