1944-1945, now there is a 'serious' bit of WW2, after the Soviets chased the Nazis halfway across Europe, US troops come in to face the 'terrible Nazis' hardly able to feed themselves... Those 'buddies' of yours must have gotten it from one of your own, since there were a lot more US tanks around. One thing connects Vietnam and WW2 - the whole Vietnam war was like the Feb. 1945 Dresden bombing, impressing the Soviets and killing hundreds of thousands of civilians in the process.
