It's a Honor to serve,

From terry m. finegan, on Sat, 06 Apr 2002 06:17:00 GMT (in response to: Draft Dodgers)

I was Drafted in 1966, Feburary. And like my Grandfather,My Father, and my Uncle I didn't run away to a foreign country
or get married before a certain deadline nor did i have a College Deferment.and i didn't slam a hammer into my knee cap to be classified 4-F. I went ahead and was inducted into the Armed Forces. In Basic training I wanted out so bad! I think I called every realivite i Had and asked them to do something.
I didn't know aa lot about World Affairs when i was 18 years old, and at the time didn't know that Viet Nam was going to be a political nightmare/ A conflict where we were goverened
by foul lines/area's where we couln't engage the enemy.Know years later i think the press had a lot to do with that fact as they cried everytime an innocent was injured./Long story short I am Proud to Be an American and have served this Honorable country/lease some of you think what we did was wrong/for as we walked thru the valley of death we feared no evil for we were the evilest so and so in the Damn Valley. and in closing this country wouldn't be what is to-day with out all the Vetrans that have fought every conflict America has repelled or defended aginst aggression to keep this freedom we enjoy today.
