I am disappointed. I expected better from "stop hating".
You didn't tell us your name. I know you're female and young. You haven't thought enough about what you wrote.
I know you're female because you don't understand the draft. Because you're a woman (girl?) you were never compelled by law to register for the Selective Service. Everyone compelled so should be paid for it; compare with people who were never compelled because of gender and time. Recognize the burden.
I know you're young because you don't know the war with Vietnam was without merit and among America's worst actions. Guilty, guilty and liable. In no way was it justified, an attendant delusion. You will note the current action in Iraq seperates itself, emphatically, from the war with Vietnam, now that it needs the merits.
It was a delusion of Manifest Destiny, Destiny, that misled us into that tragedy. As I've told so many others on this site, you should read instead of write. Read McNamara's "In Retrospect", admission of the chain of command quitting an action that continued, headless, for years.
This link is invaded and noisy with the unreconstructed. The entries are grotesque with the rant of de facto serial killers, homicidal maniacs: murderers. I read no remorse, I read no revelation, for which they have no real courage.
As for fighting here or there: it wasn't a matter of place. It was about them. It is about you.
You will find no refuge in anonymity, in aliases, in location. It is karma, it is your only future, Destiny.
