Protest

correction, continuance

From Arthur Toegemann, on Wed, 26 Nov 2003 17:16:03 GMT (in response to: McNamara's "In Retrospect", etc.)

Elsewhere on this site I have written that President Johnson quit the war. I was mistaken. He never quit the war, so that was no evidence the war was wrong. I gave him more credit than he deserved. I was too hard on veterans who were left in the dark, then.

Now, tho, there is no excuse. As early as Nixon, who bombed as he deescalated, that waste over a lost, no cause is inexcusable. We are the victims of a maniacal, military industrial complex, as warned of by President Eisenhower, a military coup as warned of in the movie Seven Days in May.
