Long overdue is the formal, US commendation of those of us who protested the war. President Carter's pardon of some draft violators was only one step in this direction. It allows some Vietnam War protesters to seek commendation and compensation, with appropriate, accurate and in many cases corrected record, without fear of prosecution.
I opposed the war, and am well read on this subject, now including this site. I will write more later. I have written much already, including a federal tort claim.
