The Vietnam war was inevitable. It was going to happen eventually, let's just be glad that it did happen when it did, before North Vietnam took over South Vietnam, and became twice as strong. Then we would have been fighting all of Vietnam, instead of just half of it. Wemay not have won the war, but we did stop the invasion of North Vietnam into South Vietnam. Which is very important for democracy. Now i think all bedwetting Christians, and tree hugging hippies, and everyone else can respect the fact that we all can be whatever the hell we want and noone will say anything. If vietnam would have become completely fascist, then China would have joined their side and the US would be fucked. None of us would have a choice to be a bedwetting Christian or Tree Hugging Hippy, we would have to be what the government wanted us to be or face severe penalties, which usually meant death. Now, to get to the overall point of what I'm trying to say. I think the people who were responsible for helping us to reserve the rights that we have deserve at least one day to spend remembering what they did. They died for us, the future, and they deserve recognition for that.
