Other type Montagnard braclet

Does anyone know of a braclet made of elephant hair both ends of a single stran are spiraled around the opposite end to form a braclet. I saw these on a few veitnam vets and was told they were made by montagnards. If anyone knows differnt or where they can be bought would appreciate. Thanks!
