I also was in Pleiku (Apr69 to Apr70, Commo, 20th Engrs, 937th Engr Gr, Engr Hill). Remember a beautiful waterfall down on road 7B, south of Camp Enari, near one of our firebases. I haven't looked at my numerous slides (approx 600 to 700)of the Pleiku/Kontum area in over 20 years, but recall how gorgeous the waterfall was (have several slides of it). I well remember the roadwork and some of the equipment, especially around and south of Dragon Mountain. In '69,the road south to Ban Me Thout was nothing but a wide lane of red clay, either dusty as hell, or so slick that a D7E couldn't stay on it. Remember the remnants of the aircraft on the side of the mountain? I suppose it is time I pull out the slide projector and see how my slides and photos have weathered the years, if at all. How long will 35mm slides last? I know some of my color photos have really faded. Too late to scan them in electronically? Hope not!
