My Bahnar

From Ron "Doc" Abner, on Tue, 24 Aug 1999 03:01:59 GMT (in response to: montagnyards)

My name is Ron "Doc" Abner. I lived, ate, slept, treated and fought with the Bahnar from Dec.13,69 to Oct. 28, 70 as a combat medic with the S-5 Civil Affairs/Psychological Operations Team, 4th Inf. Div. I love these people and their courage and culture. Have many slides, pictures, momentos and most important of all, great memories. I lived in the village of Plei Kong Breck outside of Pleiku until we sadly resettled our village and people to just outside of An Khe in May of 70. I still retain some words of the Bahnar language and am involved with some people trying to keep what culture these great people have left. I am very interested in having a private dialoge with you and your wife, if I may so be blessed. Looking foreward to hearing from you soon. GOD BLESS YOU and YOURS Ron "Doc" Abner
