Dear To whom it may concern,
     As the son of a Vietnam Veteran, I have always harbored a deep appreciation for all who have served in that confict.  My interest in the Vietnam War and the many situations that follow it have influenced my academic career significantly.  In do time, I plan to use my education to honor and formally show appreciation to all who sacrificed a great deal in the Vietnam effort by producing a full length feature film.  I have been spending a large amount of time on research and have become increasingy interested with the events surrounding the My Lai incident.  I would like to tell the story the way it should be told, however I desire some first hand input and involvement, if that is not asking for too much.  I know that the war only brings painful memories to those involved, and that is why I will understand if I do not get a response.  One last thing, if there is anyway for me to get ahold of Hugh Thompson, I would be forever in debt for your assistance.
