Freedom

"You have never lived, until you have nearly died. Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know." I discovered this saying, hand painted on a piece of plywood in a hootch in the Da Nang Area during my tour of duty 1971-1972. The author is unknown. However, the words speak volumes. I was trained as an Army Ranger and I served as a military advisor to the Army of South Vietnam.
