Military

You do not speak for the youth of America.

I, too, am young. I guess my retort to your biased opinion will mean nothing to you, however it is my hope that the meaning I give will hit closer to home with the soldiers that served in the Vietnam war. General Tecumsah Sherman once said, "War is hell." There probably isn't a human live that doesn't wholeheartedly know what he spoke about. In these times when death is as rampant as the setting sun, and as visible (due to television) as the twinkling stars in the sky, people have forgotten the brave souls who left to protect their country. The opinions varied about the war, but nonetheless you were there. I thank you for answering the bugle call your country sounded. Truthfully, some fled to Canada, others stayed in school, but when the time came... you went. That may seem like what had to be done, or whatever you believe about it... but, you have earned my respect and the respect of your nation. Thank you men. You have not been forgotten. Nor will you ever in our hearts.
