Whats done is done....

From the loner, on Wed, 15 Oct 2003 16:32:25 GMT (in response to: This War was for the freedom of the HMONG people)

We helped the Americans out... and in return they gave some of us freedom. Yes, only some. Americans will never be able to live in hell and understand our reason for complaning. We were the "secret soldiers" and yet we have recieved no thanks for our contribution. We can not and do not have the right to despise the Americans. They did what they could do during the war. I am thankful for what they did to help us, the few who are lucky, get to the United States. Sure I am angry because we don't get the respect that we should have but, to bitch about it and do nothing gets us no where. Our people are getting persecuted each day but there is nothing anyone can do but keep fighting for a better day. Even our own Hmong turns us in to the enemy. So we can't sit here and put all the blame on Americans because, they did all that they could. Although I think there is more they can do. This is why I have adopted the idea that I can't trust anyone anymore. If I trust the Americans then they will leave me when they have no more use for me. If I trust my own kind I might be turned in. I trust only myself and the path that I'm taking.
