First and foremost, I would like to say that you are ignorant. You shouldn't have said all those things about us. Since you don't know who we are, I'll give you an education about our history and how we wound up in America. Hmong, also known as Meo to many, originated around China. We hated politics, governments, etc. because we wanted to be free. We fought the Han-Chinese for parts of land regions in southern China and after long wars, we lost and decided to migrate more into the southern countries. There, we lived on mountains to get away from all these rules, governments, politics, and all that crap. All we ever wanted was for no one to bother us and live in peace. But that changed during the French IndoChina war-but the most important war that effected us was the Vietnam War, or the "Secret War". The U.S. promised us safety, a welcome to their country if the war went wrong. We were naive and was used by the U.S. We were like mere puppets on U.S. hands and strings. We were used in battles, left to die, we helped American soldiers find shelter, and safety, we helped cured them, we hid them, we protected them, protected American bases, all so another American won't have to come home in a black body bag deceased to their family. If it wasn't for us, probably the number of names on the "Memorial Wall" would have been twice as long becuase our people died by helping to save American soldiers. After the U.S. realized that they couldn't win this war, they just left us. What happened to their promises? They abandones us and the Communists knew we helped the U.S. as allies. So they began hunting us down, killing, raping, murder, and everything above. Many fled to refugee camps across the Mekong River into Thailand and some left to the U.S. after that. We thought the U.S. would still be keeping their promise...but again, we were backstabbed. So here we are now, trying to rise our name into a country who snickers at us, not knowing who we were and what role we played in their history during the Vietnam war. So don't be such a hypocrit. Why don't you try learning more about us? You'd be suprised and very upset at what the great U.S. did to us.
