Your armed forces, I think you are mistaking good for powerful and plentiful. Yes you have a large army, navy and airforce, yes it is technologically advanced, but the point I was making is the quality of the people who are in it. Your army has conquered Iraq, but that is not because of the quality of soldiers more technology. I have served with your army and several other European armies. So on that score I do know a little of what I'm taking about. I have also stated that I don't mind america being the self appointed world police, providing they do a good job, but at the moment all we have seen is a country doing what it wants to do for itself.

As for oil I doubt very much if the us oil companies will go bust for a short period of low oil prices, however, can I draw your attention the fact that one of the first contracts was given to the friend of one of americas politicians, without even being offered to tender to any other company (american or otherwise). I am sure the fall in price will not last for long.
