I'd really love to hear from someone out there who may have known my older brother. His name was Robert Burciaga and was originally from El Paso,TX, but was listed as being from Los Angeles,CA. He was a Private First Class in the U.S.Marines and was 23 years old when he was killed in Vietnam in April of 1966(6th). From the little I know, I understand that he was killed by stepping on a landmine. Other than that, I reallly have very little information. I was 5 years old at the time of his death, and being that he was my mother's first born son (I'm one of 14 kids), we were never able to talk about it. My mother is now 85 years old and I still can't bring myself to getting any details from her as it is too painfull for her as well as for my siblings. My problem is that I don't remember him as I was too young. Is there anyone out there who knows anything about him (Did he suffer at the time of his death, did he repent before he died, and did anyone come to try and help him?). I dream of him often and know that he watches over me. If anyone knows of him please let me know. My mothers name is Esperanza Ramirez but my brothers last name wasBurciaga. Thank's.
