Learning about the history

From H. L. Wallace, on Thu, 24 May 2001 08:23:48 GMT

I know that some people my be offended when I say I am grateful this we page exist. I'm not grateful that so many men, women, and children lost their lives and the survivors have to live with memories that we could only sypathize with, but never understand the depth of the hell they lived through. I'm sorry to all of the family members who lost family in one way or another and I'm sorry to all the survivors who lost there friends and family because of the experience. I am grateful that so many people are willing to share thoughts, feelings, and memories from that point in time to now. I work with the elderly in my community, I hated history when I was in school, but now I understand the importance of knowing and understanding about events in history. Several of the individuals that I have encountered over the last 1 1/2 years were widowed, fought, and/or lost family and friends over in Vietnam. I am grateful to this website and several others like it because it has given me a pictueristic insight into the days and lives that people over there lived through. Thank-you for all the information I have been learning, I appreciate it more than words can say.
