My interest arises from the love for my father. He never shared his experiences with me or really ever talked much about his time in vietnam. I respected that, thinking it was probably very emotional for him. So, I set out to know exactly what my father so proudly defeneded and did so with his heart, soul and mind as a young man. As I delve into the war, its almost at times to much for me to read or view. I can only say to my own father and all those men by his side whether far or near....I Thank You All. And I can never begin to fathom, the emotional, mental, spiritual or physical strength they must have possesed. I think they deserve such recognition and praise. Sometimes I look at my father and try to imagine a young man, outfitted with pounds and pounds of warfare. A man, who had to awaken everyday to fear, survival, and loss. And then, as an older man and a successful man and wonderful father, awaken everyday to sunshine, smells of coffee, hot showers and loving children. WOW, what we as a Nation owe these men. To transition from one extreme to the next in alomost hours and days. With little or no support. Gosh, seems as though my little Thank You, just doesnt achieve what I believe should be felt by all those who served. I want my Father and all those by his side, to know that there are so many people out in this world today that feel just as I do. We, honor you and without a doubt apreciate and utterly respect you all.
THANKS DAD!!! I LOVE HIM LOTS!!!
