I wondering if Kenneth could tell me if his photo of the shirtless soldier kneeling behind the movie camera, labelled "Member of the Army Motion Picture News Team in Saigon, 1970," was taken at the intersection of Tu Do and Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, just up from Notre Dame Catherdral. My assumption is based on the circular concrete structure behind him that I recall was located inside the small roundabout at that intersection. I'd heard a story that a gigantic concrete turtle had sat atop those steps prior to the coup that killed President Diem, at which time it was torn down--does anyone have any information on the subject?
