You deserved the homecoming not us.From a Desert Storm Vet.

From G.P.Hale, on Sun, 17 Dec 2000 06:15:51 GMT

You G.I.'s went through hell for an ungrateful nation. On your homecoming most of you were greeted by angry mobs. Its just a damn shame that they didn't know what you all went through. My uncle got shot up over there, and out of respect for him and what he went through I never ask him about it.With Desert Storm being one of the shortest wars in this nations history I felt guilty for the welcome that we received. But I do want you all to know that when our plane landed in Bangor,Maine they asked that the Vietnam Vets. to exit the plane first so they could receive their welcome over 20 years late.Like the people of Bangor Maine,I TOO SALUTE YOU.
With much thanks,Greg Hale.4 years active Marines,5 years active Army,7 years A.R.N.G.and only 4 to go. Peace my brothers.
