Helping Vet get service connected: looking for photo from a 1969 issue of Stars & Stripes.

Hello, I am a counselor attempting to help a Vietnam Vet. find a photo in a 1969 Stars and Stripes magazine article. I don't know which month (or issue). He needs help getting service connected and some buerrocrat told him that any proof would help. I would (and so would he) appreciate anybody who can help. Thanks a lot.
