What's like after the war for the South

From B. Le, on Sun, 09 Jul 2000 18:57:20 GMT

I've live in Vietnam for 10 years before we comes to the US. After the war people of the south was striped of their properties, and sent up to live on the urban area. I was a child back then but my dad had told me these thing. And some I had witness. They come at night and take you away. Your family member wont' know where they taken your love one. Some had never return. They've made my dad to give up his land and gave him one heck of a hard time. But he fought them with his courage. By trying to suicide in front of the people. He was trying to show what they do the South people. My dad was a South Vietnamese Ranger so they never gave him alone. Even until when we were about to leave Tan Son Nhat air port to leave VietNam. Many Vietnamese risked their life to pled the country. And many did lost their life. But hey it's war, the winner write history. Many of these horrible image was never known by outsiders. And I think it's best to keep that way. It reveal to much pain when it's reopen.
