Thank You

From Tricia, on Wed, 28 Jun 2000 14:15:13 GMT

I am 21 years old. My father works for the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Butler, PA as a firefighter. Just this week, they have the traveling Vietnam War Memorial at the VA. It is exactly the same as the one in DC, only a smaller scale. As I walk by the wall, there are stories about the soldiers that died that were from my area. There are pictures, flowers...I look at the faces of these men and I think about how they were my age and in a foriegn country, fighting to stay alive. I just wanted to say Thank You to all those who served in Vietnam, and I apologize for all the people who treated you like dirt when you returned home. You were doing what you were told to do, and you should be respected for that. Thank You and Welcome Home. You are all heroes in my book.
