You are trying to say that because the British Empire did some things, which were not very nice, then on that note I cannot disagree with you. Yes to quell a mutiny in India the British tied Indians to gun barrels and blew them apart, every empire has done wrong things, but I would like to think that we have progressed from there. You and other americans when a Brit points out why he thinks your wrong you reply with ‘the British Empire did this or that’. The Roman Empire crucified the Son of Man, do you hold it against the Italians.

This is the view of corporate america which a lot of people outside the us have. So as you tar the British with the brush of the old Imperial Britain can we tar you with this same brush.
