A most gracious thank you!

From Eric Jensen, on Fri, 01 Feb 2002 19:45:29 GMT (in response to: TO ALL WHO SERVED IN NAM)

You know, it is the most awkward thing (at least for me) to even mention the Viet Nam War to vets. I want so much to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, but the other side of me is afraid to bring it up, in fear that I may trigger terrible thoughts or pain that one has hidden deep in their souls. But I am so very proud of each and every one of you who served! You all sacraficed so much for us, and I appreciate all of you! It disgusts me on how people treated you while overseas and upon your return!! I cannot believe that these pukes felt the way that they did! Sure, they could oppose the war, but not at the expense of the individuals who gave up so much who fought.

I was sort of "self raised" as an extremely patriotic person. My father served in Korea, but I don't know, I have always been proud of the US and supportive of the people who served this country. I listen to the National Anthem at get tears in my eyes every time. I think of this country and all who have fought for this country.

I am not the most articulate person in the world, but let me just put it this way........THANK YOU!! If you are ever in Idaho and need a friend, I will be there for you!

With support, love and compassion!

Eric
