Does bombing Laos ring any bells?

From Pete, on Wed, 11 Dec 2002 22:51:54 GMT (in response to: american wankers)

Just a few points to tell from my journey into Laos this year. Well, there was a route from Hanoi to Saigon that went through Laos that was used by the Northern Vietnamese army. So the Americans thought it would be a good idea to start bombing the route to stop their supplies, regardless of who the fuck got in the way; 8 year old Lao children, women, and just general innocents. Laos is known as the 'land of the thousand elephants', but the Americans liked to joke by calling it the 'land of a thousand irrelevants', an obvious jibe at how "worthless" they were. There are still 3 million unexploded bombs left by the American planes, and every year thousands lose limbs by working in the fields, and I have seen this shit first hand. Oh well folks, it's all in the name of capitalism!
