This to all the Viet Nam Vets:
from the depths of my soul I welcome you home it has been a long time coming but you deserve it. My dad was in Viet Nam and I promised him that I would welcome home all vets. You are not forgotten in the minds and hearts of myself, my wife or 11 y/o son. I was in the Navy as a hospital corpsman attached to a marine unit. When we returned home from Desert Shield/Storm there was alot of fanfare, I looked at my company 1st sargent and saw in his eyes that he was sad. I asked why he explained that when he came home from 'Nam he was spat on. I approached the Co and we diverted around the welcome wagon and silently went to the hanger. I then told the 1st Sgt welcome home and he embraced me "thanks Doc".
