I would just like to say to all the Vietnam veterans who are alive and also those who have passed on, "thank you,and God bless you." You truly gave all you could to this country. I have always been interested in this war, because I know lots of veterans that were involved, and they have all told me their expierences, and horrific stories of what it was like in Vietnam and what they felt about it.I have also seen many movies such as:Full Metal Jacket and Platoon, just to name a couple.I know it's nothing compared to the real expierence, but it gave me an idea of what you all went through.I have so much respect for you all and I truly hope life has treated you well, because you certainly deserve the best.I personally did not have any close relatives in the Vietnam war,but I do have an uncle who was in the Navy when Navasaki, was bombed,as a result of his involvement he isn't mentally stable and has to take lots of medication and is on a strict diet.I know Vietnam had worse effects on large amounts of soldiers and I do know some of the pain that you do, and I feel deep regret for all of you whom have lost freinds and others in the war.I would just like to close by saying,"I am truly greatful to each and every Vietnam vet out there."
sincerly, Kelly Florentine
