Did almost 3 tours up near the 'D' mostly with 1st Batt, 5th Marines then requested Sniper assignment. I lost almost every man I ever loved over there. I left a piece of my soul there. "It don't mean nothin'". Grammatically incorrect but one of the best sayings ever coined by a Marine Grunt. Sniper assignment was the ultimate in the "human experience". I stalked them, I hid in ambush waiting for them and I killed as many of them as I could. And, that was a pretty significant, but unimportant number now. It was only a number anyway. I hunt nothing anymore...What's the point? Now I hear the tree-hugging liberals thanking vets for the Nam. Where were you in '69 when Ratcliffe female students were throwing condoms full of ketchup on me as I crutched my way across the street at the Chelsea Naval Hospital and calling me a baby killer and a murderer? or spitting on wounded guys as they stepped off the Freedom Birds? I stopped liking civilians then. I still don't like civilians. They have no honor... They have no Code...
Spook one-three
