bicultural, half vietnamese, half white

i am not a war child, but i have always been labled as a 'con lai'. my vietnamese family has all been affected by the war, but i've always felt that past has been swept under the rug. as i got older i've developed the desire to find out what is under the carpet.

so last year i headed over to vietnam for a 5 month adventure. there were many discoveries and revelations that have helped my understanding of vietnamese and myself. however, the search still continues...as a photographer i plan to return to vietnam and photograph the important things i have seen. there are alot of fondational changes happening right now, you can feel it in the air.
