Is there a State Dept. or Immigration Dept. listing of the many ladies that worked the Bar Strip in Saigon (Tu-Do) that had amerasian children. I rented a room from a lady in Bien Hoa while serving as a civilian helicopter maintenance advisor for the VNAF, AFAT 6, Bien Hoa Air Base. This lady owned/operated "ROSIE'S BAR AND GRILL on Tu-Do St.The three years I spent in RVN I got to know her and he husband and many of the ladies that worked for her.Two of the ladies I got to know quite well while living in Bien Hoa in 72, both had an amerasian child.I only know the full name and addressof one. She had the same family name as you (Dang).Last known address was Dang Thi Be-Hai, 127 E. Ton That Dam St. Saigon 1. The other lady was Phoung, her father I am told was a High School principal in Bien Hoa,don't know family name. Her child was pure american, little to no vietnamese characteristics.
I was able to communicate with Be-Hai (Yvonne) her work name up until Saigon fell in 75. I made a trip there in 96, tried to locate "Rosie's"family and went to Be-Hai's old address, had an interpertator but no one knew anything about anybody. Rosie was originally from the North, had several children, and I figure she her family and some of her ladies came to the U.S. It has been a long time ago, but I would still like to know what happened to them. If you have any suggestions for my search, It will be appreciated. Happy New Year. Best Regards Bill Owens
