Children

They're still there......

While in Ho Chi Minh City a few weeks ago, there were several American families staying at my hotel that had come to "collect" their adopted Vietnamese babies. I remember one morning while waiting for my ride, the familes got off the elevator headed back to America with their babies. As a father of an adopted Chinese daughter I was flushed again with memories of the undescribable feeling that overcomes you when you first meet your child. And i must admit, this crusty ole business man had to walk over to the corner of the lobby and wipe a small tear of happiness from the corner of his eye. Hopefully, the adoption experience of these parents and children will be as wonderful as ours has been.

Well, the moral of this story is the kids are still there, many of them need loving homes and evidently foreigners can adopt them. So, if you are touched by these pictures and have the resources, there's nothing like adoption. I am sure the old combat veteran a few lines up with five adopted children will tell you the same thing.

So, get busy and do some research.

best regards
