Looking for my parents and family in Vietnam

From Kim, on Sun, 08 Sep 2002 19:34:46 GMT

I was born 9/12/65 in Gia Dinh, Vietnam. I was an orphan at Go Vap from 1965 to the 1966/1967. My mother was part Vietnamese and Cambodian. Her whereabouts are unknown. I was adopted by an Army Sgt at that time (he eventually retired as a Colonel in the Army). He visited the orphanage quite often and he tells me we took to each other rather quickly. I suffered from malnutrtion, when he met me i couldnt even hold my head up. I was frail and the chance of me living was not good. I dont know where to start to do the search for my family. I have always had a a missing part of my life...i need some kind of closure...i need to know my heritage. If anyone has any ideas as to where to start or maybe knows someone from that time, please email me. There were 2 French nurses that took care of me...That's all i know for now. Thanks and hoping to hear something? My name was Phanti Kim Quon and now it's Kim
