in need of information

i am doing a term paper, and i am interested in the topic of war photography and the effect the images of war have on Americans, and what reactions they have had to various pictures. I am perticularly interested in the photographs of children of war, and would appreciate any information on my topic, or topics related to that of war photography. Any information, or clues as where to find useful sources would be much appreciated. I believe this to be a very worthwhile issue, and I also believe that photography has the ability to create reactions and support like no other. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words.
